The England family was one of the first insurance providers on the island and has operated under the Trade names William J. England & Sons Ltd., Horizon Insurance Agency and Diplomat Insurance Agency. Following the enactment of the Insurance Business Act the operations of these companies were consolidate into one company under the name of England Insurance Agency Limited in July 1981.

Since February 1993 England Insurance Agency Ltd. has been acting as an agent for Middlesea Insurance p.l.c.

England Insurance Agency Ltd. has its Head Office at 190, 1st Floor, Marina Street, Pieta. For customer convenience we hold another office in Valletta* which is operated by William J. England & Son Ltd as a Tied Insurance Intermediary of England Insurance Agency Ltd. Moreover, England Insurance Agency Ltd. operates via a network of Tied Intermediaries around the island.
